Service

It is understood and agreed that the performance of the service detailed in this work order is subject to tariff regulations and is contingent upon the carrier's ability to furnish the equipment and perform the service. The carrier reserves the right to substitute its own or lease equipment from other carriers in order to fulfill this charter agreement.

Itinerary

The client is required to provide us with a full detailed itinerary at least three business days before the departure date of the charter. We will provide a copy to the driver. Any changes to the itinerary must be made through the charter office.. If agreed upon, the client will be responsible for all additional mileage charges plus any additional fees that may be incurred. Additional mileage charges/additional fees will be charged or invoiced following the charters completion.

Additional Charges

Client is responsible for all tolls, parking, entrance fees, driver lodging and/or attractions. If needed, groups are to provide each driver with a single, private non-smoking room. Additional charges may not be applicable to all trips.

Payments

A deposit of 25% of the total cost MAY BE required to reserve the bus in a confirmed status. If so, it will be noted on your quote. Full payment is due at least three (3) business days before departure unless other credit arrangements have been made. The deposit is refundable if your coach is canceled at least three (3) business days in advance of your trip. The carrier reserves the right to cancel the charter agreement if the payment has not been paid in full, as agreed. If collection efforts become necessary, you will be held responsible for all attorney's fees, as well as any interest and late fees.

Cancellation

Unless other arrangements have been agreed to, the chartering party must notify the company in writing of cancellations. There will be no cancellation fee if the cancellation is made (30) days or more prior to the charter start state. Cancellations made less than (30) days prior to trip will be subject to up to full price cancellation fee per bus.

Liability

The carrier does not guarantee to arrive or depart from any point at a specific time, but will endeavor to maintain the schedule submitted by the client. The carrier reserves the right to cancel, delay, or substitute equipment for the charter if any act of God, public enemies, authority of law, quarantine, perils of the schedule, riots, strikes, a state of war, accidents, breakdowns, or poor conditions of the road due to storms, construction or other reasons beyond the carriers control. The carrier will use its best judgment to when it may be inadvisable to operate the charter vehicle either from the "Place of Origin" or to any other point on the road. Additionally, the carrier will not be responsible for any damages that result from the cancellation or delay.

Repairs or Damage

It is understood and agreed upon that the customer as well as passengers are liable for all beyond normal repairs or cleaning to the charged vehicle caused by the chartering party's passengers. It is also understood that the chartering party is liable for any damages caused by the chartering party's passengers to the equipment, employees or visited location during the duration of the charter or as a result of the charter.

Equipment and Accessories

Accessories such as DVD players, restrooms, microphones, and PA systems, are for the use of the passengers, and while the carrier will endeavor to maintain the equipment, the carrier will not guarantee its availability or operation at any point during the charter.

Baggage

The carrier is not liable for damage to or loss of baggage or other property. Baggage and all other property will be handled at the passenger's risk and only in an amount that can be conveniently carried in the storage areas of the charter bus.

Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco

No smoking or illicit drugs will be allowed or tolerated. This includes vaping. Salt Lake Express reserves the right to refuse to transport any person or persons under the influence or whose conduct is objectionable to other passengers or the safe operation of the coach. Smoking is prohibited at all times while on or near the coach. Alcohol may be allowed on the charter with prior approval and a refundable deposit.

Federal Regulations

The Department of Transportation, Bureau of Motor Carrier Safety, has adopted certain
regulations for the protection and safety of both the customer and the driver. Drivers are limited to:

  1. A total of fifteen (15) hours on duty in any one day.
  2. Of this fifteen (15) hours, a maximum of ten (10) hours may be actual driving hours.
  3. Once the total driving hours have been used, the driver must have a minimum of eight (8) hours off duty before any additional service may be performed.
